The employment law firm of Karpf & Karpf, P.C. is committed to providing quality legal services. Attorneys
Ari R. Karpf is a very zealous advocate and trial attorney. He graduated with honors in his undergraduate studies and within the top of his class at Thomas M. Cooley Law School. Mr. Karpf also received several awards in law school including but not limited to the president's achievement award and was recognized as a distinguished appeals magistrate for his review of grading by professors.
Following his graduation from law school, Mr. Karpf taught introductory law school classes at Thomas M. Cooley Law School while working for attorneys and law firms in Michigan. He thereafter relocated to Pennsylvania where he focuses his litigation on civil rights and employment law, and on a very select basis, complex criminal matters.
Mr. Karpf is admitted to practice within the state and federal courts in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, the Third Circuit Court of Appeals, and practices in other states around the country in various federal lawsuits. He has litigated hundreds of civil rights cases and has served as co-counsel and lead counsel in many state and federal trials.
Amy Y. Karpf graduated Magna Cum Laude from Drexel University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting with an array of awards. Prior to entering law school, Ms. Karpf worked for two of the "Big Four" Accounting firms. Thereafter, she attended Thomas M. Cooley Law School where she also received significant recognition, graduated Cum Laude, participated in, and later oversaw, students within the School's SixtyPlus law clinic, where pro bono services were provided to elder residents in Michigan.
She brings a wide range of experience to the practice of law, as she is not only an experienced attorney but also a certified public accountant. She has worked for Fortune 500 companies around the country, public accounting firms, and in management overseeing nationwide business practices.
Ms. Karpf is licensed to practice law in the highest courts in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, and she practices predominantly within federal court. She, like her colleagues within the firm, dedicates the overwhelming majority of her practice to representing individuals and companies before state and federal agencies such as the Department of Labor, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and other Civil Rights Commissions and in lawsuits concerning employment and civil rights matters.
Jeremy M. Cerutti is licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Mr. Cerutti graduated from Rutgers University School of Law in 2005. He then served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable James J. Morley in Burlington County, New Jersey Superior Court from 2005 to 2006. He has been an associate attorney with Karpf & Karpf, P.C. since 2006 and focuses primarily in the areas of employment law and civil rights.
Mr. Cerutti practices primarily in federal court, including the District of New Jersey and the Eastern and Middle Districts of Pennsylvania. He has litigated hundreds of employment cases and has been very successful.
Adam C. Lease is licensed to practice law in the highest courts of Pennsylvania and New York and in several federal district courts. Mr. Lease graduated Cum Laude (with honors) from Pace University School of Law in 2003, where he was a member of the School's Law Review.
Mr. Lease brings a strong level of versatility to the practice of employment law because he practiced extensively in the defense of civil litigation for many years before turning his focus over the last several years to representing plaintiffs in employment litigation.
He represents individuals, and on a select basis, small to mid-size employers, before state and federal agencies and in state and federal courts throughout Pennsylvania and New York. Mr. Lease focuses in employment litigation, including but not limited to, ERISA, the FLSA, Title VII, the ADA, the ADEA, whistleblower rights, and a host of other state and federal employment laws.
Christine E. Burke graduated Cum Laude from Rutgers School of Law in Newark, New Jersey. She is licensed to practice law in the states of New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Ms. Burke's Federal Bar Admissions include Pennsylvania's Eastern District and the District of New Jersey. She practices primarily in the realm of employment and criminal law.
Ms. Burke’s background includes a prestigious judicial internship with the Honorable Carol Sandra Moore Wells, U.S. Magistrate Judge for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, as well an intensive year-long internship with the Federal Defender's Office in the District of Delaware. Ms. Burke's accomplishments include creating and organizing a legal symposium entitled "Women Law and the Economy" for the Women's Rights Law Reporter, founded in 1970 by United States Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg. She also holds Certificates of Merit in the following legal courses: Torts I, Contracts I, and Property II. Christine received her undergraduate degree from the University of Delaware. Christine is a member of the PA & NJ Bar Associations, and the American Association for Justice.
Ms. Burke litigates complex civil rights, employment and criminal cases.
Paul C. Lantis is an associate who deals with all employment law matters and civil rights matters. Prior to working at Karpf and Karpf, P.C., he interned for the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General in the Civil Litigation Unit, where he was involved with §1983 cases against state/municipal entities.
Mr. Lantis received his J.D. from the University of Kansas and earned a Certificate in Advocacy, which demonstrates his knowledge of the intricacies of highly effective representation in various tribunals. During his law school career, Mr. Lantis served as the Managing Editor for the Kansas Journal of Law and Public Policy. He also competed in the Herbert Wechsler National Moot Court competition in Buffalo, New York, where he finished in the semi-finals. Mr. Lantis earned two CALI awards, recognizing the highest score in a course; served as a Student Senator; and worked as a Research Assistant.
Mr. Lantis is licensed to practice in the highest courts in Pennsylvania and New Jersey and frequently advocates for clients before state and federal agencies and courts.
Christine E. Reilly graduated from Villanova University School of Law. Following her first year of law school, she served a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Sheila Woods-Skipper in the Court of Common Pleas of Philadelphia County. During her time at Villanova Law, she also participated in the Civil Justice Clinic, interned in the Montgomery County Public Defender’s Office and was President of the Child Advocacy Law Association. After graduation, Ms. Reilly joined Karpf & Karpf, P.C. as a law clerk. Thereafter, she worked as an attorney and was admitted to practice in the state and federal courts of Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Ms. Reilly focuses primarily in employment and select criminal matters.
Prior to law school, Ms. Reilly graduated Magna Cum Laude from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. She is currently a member of the Philadelphia Bar Association.
Miguel A. Terc (Of Counsel) is a graduate of the Thomas M. Cooley Law School. He is a member of both the New York and District of Colombia state bars. He is also admitted to the United States District Court, for the Eastern, Northern and Southern Districts of New York, and the United States Supreme Court. Mr. Terc litigates a wide variety of state and federal employment cases throughout New York State. Originally from New York, Mr. Terc has lived all over the United States, but continues to call New York City home. Mr. Terc is of Hispanic decent, and is fully bilingual in English and Spanish.
Miguel Terc received his Bachelor of Arts from the City College of New York (CCNY), of the City University New York. Before entering law school, he was a commissioned officer in the United States Army, serving in the Air Defense Artillery, stationed at Ft. Bliss, Texas and he separated from military service with an honorable discharge with the rank of First Lieutenant. He served as an advanced team member for Candidate William Clinton, prior to his election to United States Presidency; served as an Assistant Commissioner to the Department of Juvenile Justice for the City of New York; served as the first vice chair of Community Board #7 in the Bronx, and worked with several elected officials at the state and local levels.
Mr. Terc’s diversified background allows him to understand the needs of his clients, those who are regular hard working individuals, and the interests of small businesses and corporations.

Kristin L. Sutherland graduated from Kutztown University where she majored in Criminal Justice and minored in Paralegal Studies. Kristin received her Liberal Arts and Sciences Bachelor's Degree from Kutztown in May of 2007. After graduation, Ms. Sutherland joined Karpf & Karpf, P.C. as a Paralegal and has since been promoted to Office Manager. Kristin also received her Notary Public Commission in January 2008 from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Ms. Sutherland assists in all aspects of complex civil litigation and pre-trial matters concerning witnesses, document preparation, and trial preparation.
In her spare time, Ms. Sutherland enjoys playing soccer in the Bensalem Women's league and is also an active Big Sister in the Big Brother/Big Sister Program.
Allison M. McGlynn graduated from Kutztown University where she majored in Criminal Justice. Ms. McGlynn received her Liberal Arts and Sciences Bachelor's Degree from Kutztown in May of 2008. Ms. McGlynn joined Karpf & Karpf, P.C. in June of 2008 as a Paralegal. Ms. McGlynn assists in all aspects of complex civil litigation and pre-trial matters concerning witnesses, document preparation, and trial preparation.
In her spare time, Ms. McGlynn enjoys playing soccer in the Bensalem Women's League.
Aldona Pajaczkowski graduated from Kutztown University where she was dual-major. Ms. Pajaczkowski received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice and Paralegal Studies in December of 2010. Ms. Pajaczkowski assists in all aspects of complex civil litigation and pre-trial matters concerning witnesses, document preparation, and trial preparation.
Ms. Pajaczkowski speaks fluent Polish and is conversational in Spanish and Italian. In her spare time Ms. Pajaczkowski enjoys international travel and has travelled to many countries.
Kate I. Miller graduated from Kutztown University where she majored in Psychology. Prior to joining the Karpf & Karpf, P.C., Ms. Miller was an administrative assistant at Futura Group, located in Ewing, New Jersey. During her time there, she was responsible for various administrative duties as well as special projects and accounting work. Ms. Miller brings her organizational skills and her ability to multi-task with her to Karpf & Karpf, P.C. Ms. Miller assists in all aspects of complex civil litigation and pre-trial litigation with respect to witness and document preparation.
She actively participates in Multiple Sclerosis charities each year. In her spare time Ms. Miller enjoys reading and outdoor activities.
Rashi K. Karpf is our company’s controller. Prior to joining Karpf & Karpf, P.C., Mr. Karpf had previously worked as senior tax analyst for a Fortune 100 company for six years. He had specialized in tax accounting and bookkeeping tasks, and he led a wide array of cost cutting process improvement tasks. Mr. Karpf graduated from Drexel University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree, with a focus in Accounting.
