Biography

Ms. Burke has been with the firm for more than a decade, fiercely advocating for her clients in all types of employment related matters. She is often recognized by her adversaries for her tenacity and the persistent manner in which she litigates cases through to a positive conclusion for her clients. Ms. Burke prides herself on being a trial attorney, and has tried numerous federal jury trials to successful verdicts. She most frequently litigates employment matters in federal courts throughout PA and NJ, and via pro hac vice admission in DE. Ms. Burke's employment litigation background also includes appellate work, arguing before the Third Circuit Court of Appeals, including one panel with retired Associate Supreme Court Justice, Sandra Day O'Connor, sitting by designation. Ms. Burke's appellate work in the Third Circuit has resulted in successful reversals in both published and non-published opinions. Prior to working with the firm, Ms. Burke previously held a prestigious judicial internship with the Honorable Carol Sandra Moore Wells, U.S. Magistrate Judge for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, as well as spent time with the Federal Defender's Office for the District of Delaware. Ms. Burke is the Executive Director (Southern New Jersey) for the Sidney Reitman Employment Law Inn of Court, and is a current member of the Philadelphia Bar Association, Labor & Employment Law Committee. She regularly presents on employment related matters for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute, and has presented for the Federal Bench Bar and NJSBA/NJICLE. Ms. Burke has been designated by Super Lawyers as a Rising Star, 2019 and 2020.
